Introduction to the war in Minnesota with an emphasis on the little-known story of the Georgetown settlement and the Red River frontier, the story that took place a dozen miles north of Fargo-Moorhead involves steamboats, oxcarts, daring escapes, captures and incorporates the four cultures that shared Minnesota: the Dakota, Ojibwe, Metis and Euro-Americans; register at www.fmcommuniversity.org
