Inside Business: Fargo airport launches parking reservation service

FARGO — For a premium, travelers who park their vehicles at Fargo's Hector International Airport can now reserve parking spaces near the terminal.

A company called SP+ Airport Services is in charge of the service, which works like this:

Travelers can go online at www.fargoairport.com/parking.html, or call (866) 330-7275 in advance to reserve a parking space in the first row of Hector's daily parking lot.

Reservations may be made one year in advance.

For the reserved spaces, customers pay an up-front reservation fee of $4 per day. The standard daily rate of $8 will also be paid upon exiting the parking lot.

Shawn Dobberstein, executive director of the airport authority, said the airport expects the program to be popular, especially with frequent business travelers.

Dobberstein added the airport hopes to introduce additional parking options in the near future.
