Roesler, Werth receive honors

Dave Werth and Rochelle Roesler earned top honors for CP Realty in Fargo in 2016. Werth was CP Realty's top listing associate and Roesler was CP Realty's top sales associate. Both have been with CP Realty for many years.

Kleven appointed to represent IIAND

The Independent Insurance Agents of North Dakota recently announced that Jeff Kleven, insurance agent with Insure Forward of Fargo and Wahpeton, N.D., was recently appointed to represent IIAND on the National Board of Directors for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.

IIABA is the nation's oldest and largest national association of independent insurance agents and brokers.

Manke, Bender named to Bank Forward board

Dr. Rory Manke and David Bender have been named to the Bank Forward board of directors.

Manke, along with his wife, Dr. Lauren Manke, owns Manke Family Dentistry in Grand Forks. He graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University School of Dentistry, in Omaha, Neb., with a doctor of dental surgery degree. His undergraduate degree is in biology from University of North Dakota, in Grand Forks. Manke is a member of the American Dental Association and serves as North Dakota NE District Dental Society vice president.

Bender has 39 years of financial services experience, including a variety of business development management, audit, credit, collections, and sales assignments. He earned a bachelor degree in marketing from UND.

Stallman named WCI interim president

The West Central Initiative board has named economic development consultant Terry Stallman as interim president for the west-central Minnesota organization.

He will help direct operations and work with staff during WCI's search for its next president/CEO. Stallman fills the short-term position after the resignation of Brad Barth, whose tenure as WCI president ended Dec. 31.

Stallman retired from Otter Tail Power Co. in 2016 after 22 years as the company's economic development consultant. Previously, he was the economic development officer for Rep. Collin Peterson from 1991-1993, and was director of economic development for the communities of Perham, New York Mills and Frazee in Minnesota from 1988 to 1991.

He has served on numerous boards and is now chairman of the Minnesota Business Finance Corp. and the Midwest Minnesota Community Development Corp. He is a longtime member of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation Loan Review Board.

Stallman earned a master of science degree from the University of North Dakota, a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University in Fargo and an associate of applied science degree from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.

West Central Initiative is a regional community foundation serving the nine west-central Minnesota counties of Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wilkin that focuses on economic development.
