American Crystal Sugar hires five
American Crystal Sugar of Moorhead has hired five employees.
Barrett Jesness has accepted the position of MDS supervisor in the East Grand Forks, Minn., factory. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of North Dakota. He joined American Crystal Sugar in May 2011 and has worked as East Grand Forks shift administrator and most recently environmental compliance supervisor. Jesness also has past experience from Miller Brewing and Cargill.
Branden Kuersteiner was hired as shift administrator in the East Grand Forks factory. He joined American Crystal Sugar in March 2013 as a packaging operator and has held the packaging tech 1, house mechanic and most recently the assistant P&W supervisor positions. He has four years of experience related to his new position. Kuersteiner earned a dual degree from the University of Minnesota-Crookston in manufacturing management and quality management.
Spencer Roth accepted the position of storage research assistant based out of the Technical Services Center in Moorhead. He earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural systems management from North Dakota State University. He joined American Crystal Sugar in July 2012 and has held multiple positions, including ag mechanic, ag planner and most recently agriculturist for the Drayton, N.D., district.
Preston Longie was hired as shift administrator in the Crookston factory. Longie started with American Crystal Sugar in December 2011 and has held multiple positions including manufacturing technician, pulp dryer fireman and most recently pulp dryer foreman. He received a general equivalency diploma. Before joining American Crystal Sugar, he was a shift supervisor for a Chippewa Trails Restaurant.
Tim Meshefski accepted the position of shift administrator in the Drayton, N.D., factory. He graduated from Drayton High School and has a welding certificate and other completed classes through North Dakota State College of Science. He joined American Crystal Sugar in September 1976 and some of the positions he has held include mechanic helper, house mechanic, lab foreman, assistant chemist and certified welder.
Hagen, Wegleitner join Artekta Architects
Christopher Hagen and Peyton Wegleitner recently joined Artekta Architects.
Hagen was hired as an architectural technician. He earned an associate of applied science in architectural technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College. Hagen will work in document production with institutional and commercial clients.
Wegleitner was hired as marketing manager. She earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration, with an emphasis in marketing, and a minor in advertising from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Swenson joins American Federal Bank in Hallock
Jon Swenson has been named ag and business banker at American Federal Bank in Hallock, Minn.
He brings 26 years of agricultural and financial services experience to American Federal. Swenson started his career in the financial services industry as a farm loan officer with the Farm Service Agency in 1990.
He worked as a financial services officer with Farm Credit Services of Grand Forks at the FCS office in Warren, Minn. Later, he joined AgCounty in Hallock as a senior business analyst and was promoted to senior loan officer and branch manager.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University.
Nurse midwife joins Essentia Health-Park Rapids
Heather Foresman, a certified nurse midwife, has joined the family medicine and obstetrics departments at the Essentia Health-Park Rapids (Minn.) Clinic.
Foresman earned a master's degree in nurse midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Ky. She is certified as a nurse midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She is also certified as a women's health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Foresman has 14 years of nursing experience, most of which have been in the areas of labor and delivery.
Gate City Bank promotes three, hires one
Gate City Bank in Fargo has promoted three employees and hired one.
Casey Thielges was promoted to mortgage loan officer at the Gate City Bank Fargo Southpointe office. He has been with Gate City Bank since 2013 and was previously the personal loan officer at the Fargo Southpointe office. Thielges earned a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from North Dakota State University
Alex Lacey was promoted to personal loan officer at the bank's Fargo Southpointe office. He has been with Gate City Bank since 2013 and was previously the business relationship specialist at the West Fargo Veterans Boulevard office. Lacey earned a bachelor's degree in finance and economics from North Dakota State University.
Michael Willson was promoted to personal loan officer at the bank's West Fargo Veterans Boulevard office. He has been with Gate City Bank since 2011 and was previously the senior personal banker at the Fargo Woodhaven office. He earned a bachelor's degree in university studies from North Dakota State University.
Michelle Vogl was hired as the mortgage loan officer at the bank's Fergus Falls, Minn., office. Vogl earned a business administration degree from Southwest Minnesota State University Marshall. She has more than 16 years of experience in the financial services and sales industry.
Sorby joins Thunder Seed
John Sorby has been hired as sales director at Thunder Seed of Dilworth. He brings more than 23 years of seed management experience to the position.
Sorby has held positions with several seed companies, including Agsco, WinField and, most recently, Pinnacle Agriculture.
S&S Promotional Group hires two
Allie Lott and Brittany Wang recently joined the team at S&S Promotional Group in Fargo as sales representatives.
Lott was previously a public relations specialist at Fargo Automation Inc. She earned a bachelor's degree in strategic communications and marketing from North Dakota State University.
Wang will graduate with an associate degree in business management, marketing and sales from Minnesota State Community Technical College in Moorhead this spring. She was previously an assistant property manager for Lux Communities.
Moser promoted at Discovery Benefits
Discovery Benefits in Fargo has promoted Rhonda Moser to vice president-implementation.
She joined Discovery Benefits in 2007 as a COBRA employer specialist and was previously manager-COBRA implementation and director-plan management. Prior to joining Discovery Benefits, she was a licensed office representative at Lyle Songstad's State Farm Insurance in Fargo.
Dunkle joins Robert Gibb & Sons
Robert Gibb & Sons in Fargo has hired Lisa Dunkle as a job costing accountant and accounts payable specialist.
Dunkle is a graduate of Northwestern College in St. Paul, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. She also has an associate of applied science degree in sales marketing and management from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead.
