Fargo among nation's most recession-recovered cities
FARGO—A new analysis of 505 American cities says Fargo is among the nation's most recession-recovered communities.
Finance website WalletHub's recent study, which was based on 18 economic indicators, ranked Fargo as the country's ninth most recession-recovered small city and 12th most recovered city of any size.
The community earned higher rankings for its home price appreciation (19th), poverty rate (35th), ratio of part- to full-time jobs (74th) and unemployment rate (74th).
Five cities in Texas — Midland, Odessa, The Woodlands, College Station and Edinburg — made up the study's top five, respectively.
Minneapolis ranked 10th in the large cities category, and Sioux Falls, S.D., ranked 18th among midsize cities.
