FARGO—A local Realtor association will soon move to a new office.
The Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of Realtors has purchased a nearly 11,000-square-foot building at 1535 42nd St. S., which is located between the Ramada Plaza & Suites and Shotgun Sally's Rock 'N' Roll Saloon.
CEO Marti Kaiser said the association will begin moving from its office of the past 30 years at 813 N. University Drive in Fargo to the new space Feb. 13 and be up and running on Feb. 15.
The building already has tenants in two of its suites — women's clothing store RSVP by Alan Evans and an Edward Jones office — and an additional 2,700-square-foot suite is now available for lease. The association will occupy the building's 2,800-square-foot Suite 300 and has room to expand, said Jay Nelson with Archer Commercial Real Estate Services.
Kaiser said the move to a new office is necessary because FMAAR has outgrown its current space where only about 15 people can be seated comfortably. The new location will have room for about 50 in classroom-style seating, she said, and will include more meeting and office space.
It also will give the association more parking and the ability to operate all on one level, unlike the two-story building where it's been for decades.
"We are looking forward to more comfortable arrangements for our orientation classes, as well as hosting additional education events such as Lunch & Learns," she said.
