FARGO—A husband and wife are the new owners of a cellphone repair shop here.

Miranda and Carl Burfeind took over the ownership March 7 of the local Phone-n-Fix franchise, which originally opened in May 2015. The business operates out of a kiosk in West Acres Shopping Center, 3902 13th Ave. S., between The Buckle and LOFT clothing stores.

Miranda Burfeind said she and her husband, who are from Sioux Falls, S.D., started with the Phone-n-Fix franchise in South Dakota and moved up to Fargo a year and a half ago to prepare to take over as owners of the franchise in West Acres. She said they've kept busy in the past two months.

"We buy and sell and fix cellphones, and we sell certified, pre-owned devices," she said.

The kiosk also sells accessories for phones and tablets and offers a warranty on its repair services.

The Phone-n-Fix franchise network is based in Sioux Falls.

The Fargo store is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 on Sundays. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/BPNF2.
