Apex Engineering Group hires Grindahl
Apex Engineering Group has hired Jarred Grindahl as a graduate engineer in the transportation group. Grindahl earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University. He has experience in construction inspection and civil engineering project work and was previously employed as an engineering technician.
Chesley, Johnston join Heartland Trust
Heartland Trust has hired Kasey Chesley as an administrative associate and Jennifer Johnston as a trust officer. Chesley earned an associate's degree in human resources from Rasmussen College. Johnston earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and a master's degree in business administration from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis. Johnston has 10 years experience in the financial services industry.
Aldevron hires Lynch
Thomas Lynch has been named vice president of sales and client development at Aldevron. He was previously the company's director of client relations and the vice president of sales at DNASTAR, a sequence analysis software company. He earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Illinois in Champaign.
Dental hygienist joins Cornerstone Dental
Jennifer Ellsworth has joined Cornerstone Dental as a dental hygienist. Ellsworth earned associate's degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead.
Blue Cross Blue Shield promotes one
Cindy Cameron has been promoted to manager of medical review and utilization management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. Cameron has worked for the company since 1995 and previously held the position of managed benefits specialist in the medical management department. She graduated with a nursing degree from Red River Community College in Winnipeg, Man.
Hozak-Cardinal joins Beyond Realty
Susan Hozak-Cardinal has joined Beyond Realty. Hozak-Cardinal is a Realtor licensed in Minnesota and North Dakota and specializes in residential real estate. She also co-owns The Private Collection, a furniture staging business, and serves as the marketing director at Friendly Smiles Cosmetic Dentistry. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead and the University of Mary.
Hamre joins S&S Promotional Group
Mark Hamre, also known as Tank McNamara, has joined S&S Promotional Group as a promotional consultant. Hamre was a sales associate for Spotlight Media Inc. for the past two-and-a-half years and worked in radio at KFGO for nearly 20 years. He received a certificate in broadcasting from Brown Institute in 1996 and completed New Sale Paradigm and Dale Carnegie Training.
Essentia Health hires two
Essentia Health has hired Heather Pokrzywinski as a physician assistant in the Moorhead Clinic and Amy Hestbeck as a nurse practitioner in the South University Clinic's elder care department.
Pokrzywinski earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Hestbeck earned a master's degree in nursing from Concordia University in Mequon, Wis. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Sandman Structural Engineers hires Krenelka
Don Krenelka has joined Sandman Structural Engineers as a Revit technician. He has 27 years of structural CAD experience, with nine years of Revit. He previously worked at Heyer Engineering and is a graduate of North Dakota State University.
Discovery Benefits promotes Amundson
Dana Amundson has been promoted to participant services manager for benefits at Discovery Benefits. Amundson joined the company in 2011 as a participant services specialist and recently worked as a supervisor for strategic partnerships. Amundson earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Rasmussen College.

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber has promoted Katie Ralston to membership services manager. In her new role, she will manage and guide retention activities and develop increased benefits, programs and services for existing chamber members. Ralston earned a bachelor's degree in communication from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master's in communications from North Dakota State University.

Family HealthCare has promoted Mallory Houglum to director of technology and Diane Jones to vice president of human resources.
Houglum has led the health information technology department since starting at the company in 2013. She is responsible for the clinic-wide information technology environment. Houglum has a degree in network administration from Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical in Winona.
Jones, who has been employed with the company since 2012, graduated from National Louis University in Chicago. She is Professional in Human Resource certified with over 14 years experience in various industries including healthcare, telecommunications and software development.
Offutt Family Foundation names new director
Jean Zimmerman, current executive vice president of organizational development for RDO Equipment, has accepted the new position of executive director of the Offutt Family Foundation, effective Jan. 2, 2018.
Zimmerman joined RDO Equipment Co. in 2005 as director of employee development. Throughout the years, she worked her way through the company until accepting her current position in 2012.
Founded in 2008 by Ronald D. Offutt, the mission of the Offutt Family Foundation is to invest in and make contributions to local organizations impacting the community.
