FARGO—A not-for-profit organization that helps small businesses figure out financing options will soon move into a new headquarters here.

Dakota Certified Development Corp. announced last week that it broke ground June 2 on its new 5,800-square-foot office at 5630 36th Ave. S. President and CEO Steve Dusek said the building is expected to be completed around Dec. 1.

The organization has been in its current location, 4133 30th Ave. S., Fargo, for the past 10 years.

In a written statement, Dusek said the move will give the organization a state-of-the-art facility with more space and more opportunities for growth, expansion and improvement of its day-to-day operations.

"The facility was designed with an understanding of organizational culture and collaborative styles, improving the way we work together both internally and externally," he wrote.

The groundbreaking announcement came as part of Dakota CDC's 35th anniversary celebration.
