FARGO — The mortgage division of Fargo-headquartered Bell Bank will soon expand into the Wisconsin market.

Bell Bank Mortgage announced late last week that Assured Mortgage will join its team beginning in October. Assured Mortgage, which is based in the Milwaukee area, has been in business for nearly 30 years, according to a news release.

Assured Mortgage will still be in business while in-process loans are completed, and the company will retain its management team. The announcement said Assured has written mortgages for more than 25,000 customers over the decades.

Bell Bank Mortgage President Tony Wieck said in a written statement that the division is "thrilled" to join forces with Assured.

"The Milwaukee market is also an attractive strategic fit for our regional growth, but more importantly, our shared culture and philosophy of providing exceptional integrity-driven service makes this venture a great fit for both companies," he said.

Bell Bank Mortgage currently has offices in Fargo, Minneapolis and Phoenix, Ariz.
