Peterson completes SD ag lenders school
Melissa Peterson, an ag and business banker at American Federal Bank, Fergus Falls, Minn., has completed the National School for Experienced Ag Lenders at Black Hills State University, Spearfish, S.D.
The school offers a curriculum in all facets of ag lending with an emphasis on credit analysis, risk rating, futures and options, globalization in agriculture and economics, best practices in agriculture and strategic planning.
Peterson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and a master’s degree in business administration-accounting from the University of Phoenix.
She has six years of experience in commercial and ag credit at financial institutions in Fargo and Phoenix.
