What's your reaction to winning?

"It's wonderful. We've done it before — we won last year," said Christine Olien, the general manager at 2800 13th Ave. SW location. "We try. We run our drink specials and happy hour half-price appetizers. We have TVs if there are sporting events on, but the TVs are only in the bar so if you want to come in and have a nice, quiet happy hour, you can. There's something for everybody."

What are the ingredients to a great happy hour?

Besides great specials, "we have a good, fun staff," Olien said. "They enjoy having fun with their guests and with each other. For guests that want to have fun, that's what we're here for."

What makes your happy hour different from everyone else?

"We have a combination of everything. We have the half-price appetizers, the sports-bar atmosphere but we also have a quiet atmosphere for people if they want," Olien said. "The north location has all the college kids. They can just walk across the street from NDSU. We have a little bit of everything for everybody."

Second Place: Mezzaluna

Third Place: Rustica Eatery and Tavern
