What does your team love about summer fun?

"The zoo really is a family," said executive director Sally Jacobson. "The summer is when we see big crowds, and it's one of the reasons we come to work every day - to see people having fun and making memories. That's important to us and drives us to be better. I'm just really proud of our zoo, and the big difference we're making for small, cold-climate animals around the world."

What events should people plan to attend this year?

"One of the newest events is Agriculture Adventure Day where we bring out farmers, zookeepers, soil scientists and commodities groups for a fun community day," Jacobson said. "We have free kids admission, fun activities and free lunch - it's quite fantastic."

Any new or improved attractions to check out?

"Next year is our 20th year, and we have some things we can't reveal just yet, but we will have a new exhibit for the porcupines," Jacobson said. "They will have three times the space with mostly grass and new trees and glass for people to view them."

Second Place: Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks

Third Place: Thunder Road
