Economic freedom scholar to speak at NDSU
FARGO — North Dakota State University's Capitalism and Society Lecture Series is hosting a presentation by economist Robert Lawson at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 in NDSU's Barry Hall AgCountry Auditorium.
Lawson will talk about what economic freedom means and how it is measured. He will also discuss the Economic Freedom of the World project and examine the socio-economic performance of countries around the world. Lawson is past-president of the Association of Private Enterprise Education, a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute and a member of the Mont Pelerin Society.
The lecture series is hosted by the NDSU Center for the Study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise and is meant to invite dialogue between researchers, students and community members about institutions and policies that encourage and enhance human well-being.
