Concordia symposium to explore gender and power
MOORHEAD — The 2018 Faith, Reason and World Affairs Symposium will discuss "Power Plays: Why Gender Matters," on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Concordia College. Most events will be held in Memorial Auditorium.
The symposium will examine relationships between gender and power in a variety of contexts and discuss empowerment and action. Speakers include Rebecca Walker, author and activist; Jackson Katz, co-founder of Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) and Debra Fitzpatrick, co-director of the Center on Women, Gender and Public Policy at the University of Minnesota.
