2 suspicious packages found as University of Louisiana evacuates after bomb threat

NEW ORLEANS - The University of Louisiana at Lafayette canceled classes and ordered a campus-wide evacuation on Wednesday after a bomb threat was called into a local TV station and police found two suspicious packages, officials said.

All students were ordered to leave the sprawling, 1,500-acre campus about 120 miles west of New Orleans, and events were canceled for the day, university spokesm
