Applications for Mrs. Clay County now open
APPLE VALLEY, Minn. – Married women here can now apply for the chance to represent their county in a state beauty pageant next year.
Mrs. Minnesota is accepting applications for Mrs. Clay County, who will receive an official title and sash and head to the state competition.
The Mrs. Minnesota pageant will be held at Ritsche Auditorium in St. Cloud on March 14.
The winner of that pageant, which includes an interview, aerobic wear and evening gown competitions, will represent the state at the Mrs. International pageant in July 2015.
Mrs. Minnesota will also win a prize package worth $7,000, according to a news release. Kimberly Stommes of St. Cloud currently holds the title.
Every contestant must be married for at least six months by July 1 of the year they compete in and must live with their husband.
The contest is open to women ages 21 to 56.
