Bicyclist killed in collision near Finley
A 54-year-old woman from Portland, N.D., was killed when she was struck by a truck from behind while riding her bicycle near Finley, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 6:47 p.m. on Friday, 12 miles east of Finley on Highway 200.
The woman was thrown from her bicycle after being struck by the westbound truck and was pronounced dead at the scene, North Dakota Highway Patrol officials said.
The driver and two juvenile passengers, ages 9 and 10, were not injured in the crash and the truck sustained minor front-end damage.
Charges against the driver of the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado are pending as the crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
The names of the victim and the driver have not been released at this time.
