Bumper lying on I-29 causes crash
FARGO – A man trying to avoid a bumper lying on Interstate 29 struck a vehicle and injured its driver near here Friday, a news release from North Dakota Highway Patrol stated.
Levi Tompkins, 21, of Moorhead, was northbound on I-29 in the right-hand lane when he braked hard to avoid a car bumper lying on the road and lost control, spinning into the middle lane.
The front of his 2002 Dodge Stratus struck the passenger side of a 2008 Dodge Avenger driven in the middle lane by Amanda Gross, 19, of Ayr.
Gross was taken to Sanford Medical Center with injuries that were not non-life-threatening. Tompkins was not injured.
