Our beloved mother and grandmother, Carol Lou Miller, passed away at her sons home in Moorhead on June 23 2014.

Carol was born on May 29, 1938 in Fargo ND, the daughter of Floyd and Ann Ocker. She was raised in Fargo where she met and married her husband Charles Miller on February 21, 1968.

In 1974, Carol, Charles and the family moved to Glen Ullin ND where she worked at the Marion Manor Nursing Home for 35 years. She was well known for singing happy birthday to all the residents and staff as well as her practical jokes on the intercom. She loved her job and taking care of all the people she worked with. Carol enjoyed doing many things in her spare time including playing pinochle and gin. But most of all, her grandkids were her life. She glowed when all the family would show up for holidays and get-togethers. Her favorite phrase was "Are you sure you dont want something to eat? " She made sure nobody went hungry. Carols house and garage were the gathering place for all the family, friends and relatives.

Carol is leaving behind her seven children: Laurie (Stephen) Crowe, Selah WA; Larry Miller, Fargo ND; Lonny (Nikki) Miller, Moorhead MN; Lynnett (Mark) Herz, Fargo ND; Leland (Lisa) Miller, Bismarck ND; Stacy (Doug) Pritchard, Fargo ND; Becky (Billy) Dillmann, Mandan ND. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles; sister, Dorothy; one child Robert Allen; and her parents.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family asks that donations be made in Carols name to the Hospice of the Red River Valley, to whom we cannot express enough gratitude for the excellent care Carol received in her last weeks.
