Cass County authorities searching for driver in rollover crash that injured passenger
FARGO – Cass County sheriff’s deputies are searching for the driver of a car in an early-morning, high-speed rollover crash after he fled on foot, leaving his passenger behind.
The suspected driver, Joshua Tritchler, 26, of Fargo, hasn’t been located, Sgt. Tara Morris said Monday morning.
Morris said deputies received a state radio call at about 2:10 a.m. Monday about a rollover crash in the northbound lane of Interstate 29 just north of Interstate 94.
When they arrived, the passenger in the car reported he and the driver had been traveling southbound on I-29 at a high rate of speed, Morris said.
The passenger was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Fargo municipal court records show Tritchler was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence in an unrelated incident on June 30.
Whether Tritchler was injured in the crash is unknown, Morris said.
