Clay County crash injures two

MOORHEAD – Two people were injured in a car accident east of here Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol said a westbound 2013 Chevy Silverado on 90th Avenue North ran a stop sign, causing the vehicle to be struck broadside by a 2006 Dodge Caravan that was southbound on Highway 9 at about 3:45 p.m. The intersection is about 12 miles northeast of Moorhead.

A passenger in the Silverado, Darlene M. Hildebrant, 42, of Park Rapids, Minn., suffered non-life threatening injuries, as did the driver of the van, John P. Hoffman, 53, of Fergus Falls, Minn. Both were taken to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
