Crash near Barnesville injures 5

BARNESVILLE, MINN. — A Rhode Island man caused a crash Friday when he used a median crossover on the highway.

Jayee H. Tarpeh, 26, was heading east on Interstate 94 about 7:45 p.m. when he used the median crossover lane to turn around and get into the left lane of the highway heading west.

Kory A. Bender, of Watertown, Minn., rear-ended Tarpeh’s car. Bender was unhurt, but his four passengers, including Wlegie Swen of Moorhead, all sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Tarpeh also suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. His only passenger, Melissa A.  Neske of Buffalo, Minn., was not injured in the crash.
