Eileen J. Veitch, 85, West Fargo, ND passed away on June 12, 2014.

She was born on June 10, 1929 in Blabon, ND. She graduated from Hope High School in 1947. She married Vernon L. Jacobson in 1948 and together they had 4 children, Michael, Peggy, Gregory and Kevin. In 1971, she married Norman S. Veitch in Reno, Nevada. They made their home in Argusville, ND. She was active in UCC Church in Argusville.

Since the age of 13, she worked many jobs in the restaurant industry, M & J Brand Steakhouse, HI-10 & Speedway. Also she and Norm worked @ Teamsters in Fargo. Her son Mike had Mike's catering. Together they made many thousands of sandwiches, potato salad and brownies!

Eileen enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to exchange jokes at her monthly Ladies Aid meetings, playing cards, visiting area casinos, getting together with her many friends, cooking and baking and being the Kroll's lady. Her greatest joy however, was spending time with her family.

She was a loving mom and grandmother and was always very forgiving.

She is preceded in death by her husbands Vern and Norm; parents, Jacob and Lillian Emmerich; brothers, Glen and Dale Emmerich; sister, Jean Tretter; her son, Michael; and grandson, Dana Scott Jacobson.

She is survived by children, Peggy (Bruce) Jacobson Kringlie, Fargo, Greg (Sharon) Jacobson, West Fargo, Kevin Jacobson, Argusville, and Diane (Dan) Veitch Stark, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Brad (Carrie) Jacobson, Brian (Melissa) Jacobson, Brandon (Sarah) Jacobson, Zondra (Roger) Duysen, Kelly (Dani) Kringlie, Ryan (Stephanie) Kringlie, Kari Kringlie (Chris) Wehri, Kris (Nicole) Jacobson, Robyn Jacobson (John) Haines, Kellie Jacobson, Michael Jacobson, Mike (Sara) Sell, Robin (Jim) Mattson, Tim (Shereen) Stark, Amy (David) Kain, Ann Stark and Michelle (Mike) Stark; 22 great grandchildren; one sister, Jan (Ouren) VanGorder.

Visitation: Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Memorial Service: Monday at 2 PM at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Fargo.

Final Resting Place: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
