Fargo man accused of hitting sons with hanger
FARGO – A father here faces two felony charges of child abuse for allegedly beating his twin 5-year-old sons with a plastic clothes hanger.
Aaron Lamb, 39, was charged Thursday in Cass County District Court with two felony counts of child abuse.
On Tuesday, Fargo police were called to Lamb’s home, and his wife told officers that her sons had bruises on their backs, necks and hands consistent with a hanger, according to court documents.
The boys told police their father struck them with the hanger because they broke a curtain rod and were not going to sleep, according to a police report.
The 39-year-old inventor and businessman allegedly told police he used a “racquet ball wrist flick” to hit the boys with the hanger. He said he was angry and frustrated and regretted hitting the boys, police allege in court records.
Lamb was being held Friday at the Cass County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. His attorney, Mark Friese, declined to comment, saying he had just taken the case and had not had time to meet with Lamb or review the case file.
