Fargo man charged with 10th DUI
FARGO – A Fargo man was charged Thursday in Cass County District Court with what could result in his 10th drunken driving conviction in North Dakota.
Charging documents allege Charles Allen Blue, 46, failed a field sobriety test administered by a Fargo police officer May 27 in a parking lot in the 600 block of Second Avenue
According to court documents, Blue was thick-tongued in his responses, smelled strongly of alcohol, and had blood-shot, watery eyes at the time of the test.
He also refused to submit to a test of his blood alcohol content, a police DUI investigation field note said.
Court records indicate Blue has nine total convictions for driving under the influence going back to 1993 in Cass, Grand Forks, Ramsey, Stark and Towner counties.
Blue was charged with one count of fourth or more offense of driving under the influence, and one count of refusal to submit to chemical testing, both Class C felonies.
His next court appearance has not yet been set.
