Firefighters battle small balcony fire at south Fargo apartment

Firefighters quickly extinguished a small balcony fire at an unoccupied apartment in south Fargo early Sunday morning.

The Fargo Fire Department responded to a call at about 4:45 a.m. at 3524 28th Ave. S., where firefighters discovered a small fire on the balcony of an empty second-floor apartment unit. The blaze was easily extinguished, but caused no damage to the interior of the building, according to a news release.
