FARGO – Like its wares, Modern Textiles’ Instagram photos are a mix of soft and whimsical and bright and bold.

Co-owners Roxanne Beauvais and Connie Biselx fill the @moderntextiles feed with colorful swatches, new prints, sewing projects and details from the store at 17 7th St. S. in downtown Fargo.

“We love to use Instagram to connect with our customers in the Fargo-Moorhead area. It’s a great way to form a sense of community and get to know people with similar interests,” Beauvais says.

The business partners sold pre-cut fabric on consignment before opening their own store in January. They now offer sewing classes for adults and children. Tonight it’s a “sew-in” with instructor Jean Sando.
