For high-risk sex offenders in North Dakota, there’s a place between prison and freedom
GRAND FORKS – When sex offenders in North Dakota are about to be released from prison, they are given a risk assessment by a committee with the state attorney general’s office. When they are released, they are given a low, moderate or high rating.
However, some are given a more serious designation that prevents them from returning to freedom.
