Five new employees at Discovery Benefits

Discovery Benefits in Fargo has hired Angela Thomassen as a benefits implementation manager, Jamie Christianson as a benefits senior account manager, Crystal Pazdernik as a COBRA/billing solutions operations specialist, Josh Plamann as a claims specialist and Tara Hill as a channel success manager.

Three promoted at General Equipment

General Equipment and Supplies, Fargo, has promoted Derald Spieker to aggregate technical adviser, Trevor Moore to aggregate shop manager and Joe Sahr to shop foreman.

Spieker was previously the aggregate shop manager. He has been with the company for more than 30 years.

Moore was previously a field aggregate technician. He attended the diesel technician program at Alexandria (Minn.) Technical and Community College. He has been with the company for 19 years.

Sahr was previously an equipment inspector. He graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, and has been with the company for six years.

Early Intervention Partners hires Knodel

Kelsey Knodel has joined Early Intervention Partners in Fargo. She earned a bachelor’s degree in speech language hearing sciences from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master’s degree in communication disorders from Minot (N.D.) State University.

She has experience working with children ages birth to 12 years as a teacher and teacher’s aide at various child care centers in the Fargo-Moorhead area. She also has experience with a variety of disorders including language delays, hearing impairments and articulation.

Bell State Bank hires two, promotes one

Bell State Bank & Trust has hired Kara Brungardt as loan operations team lead and Andrew Lerud as a credit officer. Both work at the bank’s offices at 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo. Mark Wallace has been promoted to vice president of ag/business banking at the branch at 409 Sheyenne St., West Fargo.

Brungardt, originally from Cloquet, Minn., earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a master’s degree from the College of St. Scholastica. She has worked in banking for four years.

Lerud is a native of Grand Forks and earned a degree in management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a degree in accounting from North Dakota State University. He has worked in banking and accounting for eight years.

Wallace is originally from Northwood, N.D. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from NDSU. He has worked in banking for four years and was most recently a credit officer at Bell State Bank & Trust.

Christianson’s Business Furniture hires two

Bill Critelli has been hired at Christianson’s Business Furniture in Fargo, where he will promote the company’s architectural interior products. Kaela Worrall has joined the company as a sales coordinator after working for many years in the nonprofit sector.

Critelli previously worked for Cole Papers, Fargo. He has 20 years of experience working in the Fargo-Moorhead area in business-to-business sales.

Worrall graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and law.

Alerus promotes three to leadership positions

Alerus Financial has promoted Ann McConn to executive officer of the wealth management division, Dan Doeden to Fargo-West Fargo market president and Bill Carlson to market manager/relationship management.

McConn has worked in trust and investments for 15 years. She earned a law degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a master’s degree in business from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Doeden joined Alerus in 2004. He received a business administration degree with minors in finance and accounting from the University of Wyoming and is a recent graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking.

Carlson has more than 26 years of commercial banking experience with Alerus and was previously a relationship manager. He received a business and finance degree from the University of Montana.

History group hires two, promotes two

The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, Moorhead, has hired Angela Beaton as an administrative assistant and Amanda Nordick as marketing coordinator. Jeff Swenson has been promoted to events and exhibits coordinator, and Linnea Dahlquist was promoted to weekend manager.

Beaton previously worked at the Rourke Art Museum, Moorhead, and has a degree in public history.

Nordick was previously the director of the Nordic Culture Clubs. She has a master’s degree in anthropology.

Swenson was previously the administrative assistant at the HCSCC, and Dahlquist has worked at the museum over the past three years on many exhibits, tours and events as a general museum assistant.

First International Bank hires one, promotes one

First International Bank and Trust, Fargo, has hired Audrey Harber as a personal banker, and Naomi Keney has been promoted to credit review manager. Both work at the branch on 25th Street South in Fargo.

Harber previously worked at Wells Fargo and State Farm Insurance.

Keney joined First International Bank in 2006 and previously was assistant credit review manager.

Hawley firm expands, hires project manager

Implementation Specialists, Hawley, Minn., has expanded and has hired Sandi Quiggle as senior project manager. She has over 10 years of experience in project management.

Quiggle’s past experience includes retail ownership, implementation of ISO 9000 standards and certification, plus over 20 years of involvement in information technology

Pediatric Therapy Partners hires five

Tessa Larson, Tessa Belk, Chelsey Lawson, Paige Rygg and Gina Czmowski have joined Pediatric Therapy Partners, Fargo.

Larson received a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She has experience working with the Rural Cass County Special Education Unit and has additional training in Handwriting Without Tears. She works with patients on developmental delays, behavior interventions, sensory integration and handwriting.

Belk earned a bachelor’s degree in speech, language and hearing sciences at Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master’s degree in communicative disorders at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. She previously worked at the Courage Kenny Rehab Institute where she worked with individuals with cognitive-communication deficits and dysphagia from traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke. She also worked at Hoover Elementary School in the Minneapolis area, a school for the deaf and hard of hearing, and with Anoka Hennepin’s Cochlear Implant Team. At Hoover she worked with students with articulation disorders, language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorder, cognitive communication deficits, hearing impairments and social communication deficits.

Lawson received a bachelor’s degree in speech, language and hearing sciences from MSUM and a master’s degree in communication disorders from Minot (N.D.) State University. She has experience working with pediatric and adult populations in articulation, language, social aspects, cognition, voice and augmentative and alternative communication.

Rygg has been hired as an office assistant. She graduated from Concordia College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She has experience working as a track coach and assistant supervisor for the Fargo Park District Youth Track Camp, and she also has retail experience.

Czmowski received a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and has experience working in a children’s care hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Her areas of interest are developmental delays, neurological disorders, and promoting and encouraging functional skills for school, home and everyday life.

Dewald named director of financial planning

RDO Equipment Co., Fargo, has promoted Elizabeth Dewald to director of financial planning and analysis.

Dewald has been with the company for seven years and has worked as a financial planning analyst for the past three years. She started as an intern at RDO in the internal audit department and then served as an internal auditor before moving to the financial planning and analysis team.

She is a graduate of North Dakota State University.

Property management firm promotes four

Goldmark Property Management has promoted Jay Duden and Amanda Welk to vice presidents of field operations, and April Olson Mata and Kristen Sullivan have been promoted to regional managers for Fargo.

Duden joined Goldmark in 1986 and has served in a number of management positions, including his most recent position of regional manager for Fargo.

Welk joined the company in 1999 and most recently was regional manager for Bismarck and Grand Forks.

Olson Mata joined the company in 2006 and has held various positions, most recently area manager in Fargo.

Sullivan also joined the company in 2006 and progressed to her previous position of area manager.

Heiden named vice president of finance

Northstar Agri Industries, a canola processing company, has appointed Stacie Heiden as vice president of finance and administration. She will work in the corporate offices in Fargo.

Heiden was previously the chief financial officer with DMS Health Technologies and has more than 28 years of experience.

She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Intelligent InSites hires two software engineers

Intelligent InSites, Fargo, has hired Tyler Brazier and Jeremy Struxness as software engineers.

Braizer started working at Intelligent InSites as an intern. He previously held the position of a quality assurance writing intern for Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. He has a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the University of Minnesota, Crookston, and is pursuing a master’s degree in computer science at North Dakota State University.

Struxness started working for the company in January as an intern. He is a recent graduate of NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Three new employees hired at FBS in Fargo FBS, Fargo, has hired Cole Hooey as a UI/UX designer, Steven Wheeler has joined the technical support staff and Xingang Huang has joined the company as an Android developer.

Hooey is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College. He previously worked for Flint Interactive, Fargo.

Wheeler previously lived in Oregon, where he worked for Cayuse Technologies and was contracted out for such companies as AT&T and Microsoft.

Huang received a doctorate degree from Tsinghua University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Beijing Institute of Technology. He previously worked as a software engineer for four years at North Dakota State University.

BlackRidgeBANK adds three to staff

BlackRidgeBANK has hired Alissa Strickler as a personal banker, Mitch Taralson as a universal banker and Danielle Hanneman as a teller/customer service representative.

Strickler previously worked as a personal banker with Wells Fargo Bank.

Taralson graduated from North Dakota State University with degrees in finance and management and has more than five years of banking experience. He was previously a customer service manager with Bank of the West.

Strickler and Taralson will work at the branch in Fargo.

Hanneman will work at the branch in West Fargo. She is completing a bachelor’s degree in finance at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Anne Carlsen Center hires Nygaard, Eissinger

The Anne Carlsen Center, Jamestown, N.D., has hired Jessica Nygaard to its team of medical services nurse practitioners and Tim Eissinger has been named chief operating officer.

Nygaard earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from UND. Her previous experience working as a nurse was at Sanford Health Clinic, Jamestown, Sanford Children’s Hospital, Fargo, and Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Eissinger has more than 30 years of experience with residentially based services, the majority of that time with Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.

Marcia Gums, who has served as COO of the Anne Carlsen Center and ACC Home and Community Based Services since 2003, will continue as the COO for Home and Community Based Services.

Odney names strategic engagement director

Amanda Godfread has joined Odney as director of strategic engagement. She has over 14 years of experience in public relations and community outreach.

She previously worked with North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple as director of communications for his 2012 campaign, followed by serving in the governor’s office.

Godfread has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and was editor for UND.edu from 2010 to 2011 and director of alumni relations and marketing for the UND Alumni Association and UND Foundation from 2006-2009.

Her experience includes writing, editing, web strategy and content management systems, media relations, public speaking, grassroots engagement, event coordination, social media and management.

Oien hired as a senior survey tech at Ulteig

Ulteig has hired Tim Oien as a senior survey technician. He will work in the company’s Fargo office.

Oien most recently worked for Volt Technology Resources in Fargo as a Microsoft office 365 support engineer. He has a bachelor’s degree in information technology management from the University of Mary in Fargo, and has 12 years of experience.

Lillestol Research hires Foertsch, Taralson

Diane Foertsch and Nick Taralson have joined Lillestol Research in Fargo, Foertsch as a medical laboratory scientist and Taralson as the clinical research coordinator.

Foertsch has 36 years of laboratory experience and has a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from North Dakota State University.

Taralson is a registered nurse and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from NDSU. He was previously employed with Essentia Health since 2010.

One retires, one promoted at Fargo Tire

Greg Bauman has retired from Fargo Tire Services. He worked at the company’s Main Avenue location for 38 years as an alignment technician, assistant alignment manager and most recently as alignment manager.

Jim Askelson will take over as the Main Avenue location alignment manager. Askelson has been with Fargo Tire Service as an alignment technician and assistant alignment manager for the past 15 years.

Payroll Professionals hires tax administrator

Payroll Professionals Inc., Fargo, has hired Travis Lium as a tax administrator.

Lium graduated from North Dakota State University with bachelor’s degrees in business administration and accountancy.

D-S Beverages hires two delivery drivers

D-S Beverages, Moorhead, has hired Josh Baumann and Travis Fugere as delivery drivers.
