FARGO – A Goodwill retail store has opened at 4325 13th Ave. S., Fargo, in the strip mall east of Olive Garden.

The store will celebrate its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday that will include introductions, a tour of the store and refreshments. The store will host a grand opening event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday that will include drawings for door prizes and special sales.

This is the fifth store that Easter Seals Goodwill of North Dakota has opened in the state. Revenue from the stores fund programs that help children, adults and families throughout the state including at-home care for people of all ages who are disabled or disadvantaged.

Easter Seals Goodwill of North Dakota plans to open another Fargo location in the near future.

Sean Hannity to air on AM 1100 and AM 1090

FARGO – Talk show host Sean Hannity’s radio show will air from 2 to 5 p.m. beginning Monday on AM 1000 WZFG in Fargo and AM 1090 KTGO in Tioga.

Hannity made the announcement in a live interview recently with radio talk-show host Scott Hennen just prior to the statewide radio talk show “What’s On Your Mind.”

His show will be moving from 660 KEYZ in Williston where it currently airs.

Hannity has taken a special interest in North Dakota due to the economic energy boom and low unemployment rate in the western part of the state.

Hannity will replace “The Common Sense Club” with Leon Francis, who will move to the 8 to 9 a.m. hour Monday through Friday.

In addition to Hannity, beginning Monday both stations will also air an information block showcased at the top of each hour featuring national news from FOX Radio News as well as local news, ag and weather.

Braaten Cabinets to celebrate 40th year

FARGO – Braaten Cabinets will celebrate its 40th year of business Sept. 11 at its showroom at 2570 Main Ave.

The event will feature a ribbon-cutting at 4 p.m., followed by showroom tours, activities for children and door prizes from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Braaten Cabinets was established in 1974 by brothers Terry and Brad Braaten in a small shop. Today, the custom cabinet shop has two locations, in Fargo and Grand Forks.

The business designs, manufactures and installs locally hand-crafted cabinetry in residential and commercial construction and remodels.

Herberger’s slates Community Days event

FARGO – The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., including local Herberger’s locations, will host the semiannual Community Days Fundraiser Nov. 14-15.

The event benefits local nonprofits and the American Heart Association.

Organizations can sign up now at www.communitydayevent.com to sell coupon booklets to supporters in their communities and online.

The Community Days event in February raised more than $4.5 million for thousands of organizations. More than $166 million has been raised nationally since 1999.
