Jerry Curtis Manske, 60 of Hankinson, ND passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Hankinson Public School Gymnasium with burial at Freeman Cemetery, McLeod, ND. Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at Hankinson Public School Gymnasium. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the school. Pallbearers are: Larry Leshovsky, Harlan Muehler, Scott Thorsteinson, Ronnie Lugert, Tim Kuehl & Brad Zimmerman. Honorary pallbearers are: All his grandchildren & all who called him friend.

Jerry Curtis Manske was born November 11, 1953 in Breckenridge, MN, the son of Henry & Betty (Wickoren) Manske. Jerry grew up in the Lisbon & McLeod area. On June 28, 1974 he was united in marriage to Jan Zimmerman at McLeod. In 1983 they moved to Hankinson, ND. Jerry worked in law enforcement for 35 years retiring from Richland County on January 20, 2012 due to health.

Jerry loved antiquing, spending time with his grandchildren, dog & family. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Hankinson, ND Peace Officers & the Sons of the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Jerry Manske Scholarship Fund, Lincoln State Bank, P.O. Box 250, Hankinson, ND 58041.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Jan Manske, Hankinson, ND; daughters: Tara (Clint) Dowty, White House, TN & Shelly Manske, Wheaton, MN; brothers: Kurt Manske, Lisbon, ND, Roger (Vickie) Manske, West Fargo, ND, Craig (Donna) Manske, Wahpeton, ND & Paul Manske, Fargo, ND. Sister: Judy (Tim) Vangerud, West Fargo, ND; sister-in-law: Brenda Manske, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Tyler Manske, Addison Dowty, Clinton Dowty, Tennley Dowty & Brooklyn Manske and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Betty; brother: Rod; father-in-law: Isedor Zimmerman & his dog: Shiloh.
