Letter: Hard to believe F-M kids are hungry
I am 85 years old and came from a family of six kids. Growing up in the 1930s wasn’t easy in the country, but I don’t ever remember being hungry. Our whole neighborhood was the same, and I don’t think you could find a hungry kid. Our parents made sure we had food.
I truly feel sorry for the kids in the Fargo-Moorhead area who have to get food from the Salvation Army, etc. God bless the Salvation Army for being there for the kids, but what are the parents doing with their money? We don’t eat out a lot, but all the fast-food places and restaurants are full.
I find it hard to believe there are so many hungry kids in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Here we are, the greatest country in the world and we have hungry kids. Our folks always made sure their kids had food.
My question: Where are the parents?
