As an attorney in practice for more than 30 years, I believe the most important quality for a judge is a breadth of life experience as well as legal experience. No candidate for judge in the June 10 election comes close to Adele Page in either area.

Page has experience as an attorney at two large law firms in Fargo (Nilles, Hansen & Davies and Dorsey & Whitney), has served as in-house counsel for a large corporation, and now serves low-income North Dakotans in her work at Legal Services. But most voters probably don’t know that Page worked as a nurse for several years before entering law school and now is co-owner of Fargo Billiards & Gastropub.

I worked with Page at the Nilles law, firm and I know her to be an exceptionally bright and capable attorney. But I also know she has real-world life experiences that will give her valuable insight into the cases she will handle as a judge.
