Letter: The real failure was with the Fargo police
What’s the problem? Fargo police decided not to pursue Kendall Feist; BCI did (Forum, June 19). The same people questioning the pursuit would be the ones complaining had Feist had a weapon, and they didn’t pursue him.
So they went across a golf course, big deal. What if he had time to load or reload or ready a weapon while the police waited for him to get off of the golf course?
The police in Moorhead did a great job. North Dakota BCI did a great job. Fargo didn’t. These people put their lives on the line each day; decisions are split second. Life or death is split second. They serve and protect – that is what they did.
