Coach: Char Lien (16th year)

2013 record: 19-13 (sixth place in Class 3A)

Who’s gone: Bailey Lund, Amber Gunkel, CeCe Borgen, April Johnson, Maddie Swanson, Emily Tollefson, Olivia Ostlie, Alyssa LaFlamme, Kayla Dalquist.

Key returners: Emily Uglem, Sr., outside hitter; Brianna Carney, Jr., middle hitter; Bailee Gulseth, Sr., libero; Britta Holland, Sr., right hitter.

Coach’s comments: “Even though we graduated nine seniors, the cupboard is not bare for the Spuds. Three-year letter winners Emily Uglem and Bailee Gulseth lead the charge to reclaim their Section 8AAA title. We again have some height along with some improved vertical jumping ability that will strengthen our hitting percentage. In addition, we have added some new underclassmen that have caught on quickly despite the huge learning curve. Consistency will be the motto for the season, as they learn to play with each other at a quicker pace.”
