Mosquito spraying scheduled for metro tonight

FARGO – Mosquito control trucks will spray the Fargo-Moorhead metro area starting at 8 tonight.

Cass County Vector Control will spray select areas of Fargo and West Fargo for elevated levels of mosquitoes, which can carry West Nile Virus.

Crews will also be spraying in Moorhead, which should take about four hours and end by midnight.

The spray has little toxicity for animals, the city said, but Moorhead residents who want the spray machine turned off as it passes their home can call (218) 299-5422 and leave a detailed message.
