Officials say south Moorhead shooting arose from 'disagreement or transaction'

Forman, ND: The funeral service for Norman H. Wahlund will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Forman. Reverend Trichelle Kirchenwitz will officiate. Interment of his remains will take place at a later date at the cemetery in Carrington, ND.

Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Chapel of Forman.

Norman passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Four Seasons Healthcare Center in Forman at the age of 92.

Norman Henry Wahlund was born February 6, 1922 in Forman, ND to Eric and Anna Mathilda "Tilly" (Walstead) Wahlund. He attended rural Sargent County schools and graduated from Forman High School in 1940.

Norman was united in marriage with Maxine Klindworth. They made their home and raised their family in Carrington, ND where Norman was a businessman. Following Maxines death, Norman married LaVonne (Westra) Jacobson. They lived in Carrington for a few years before settling in Forman.

Norman was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking, stained glass projects, and was an avid pinochle player.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, LaVonne Wahlund of Forman; his four children: Lee (Lorraine) Wahlund of Carrington, ND; Keith Wahlund of Fargo, ND; Janelle Kennedy and Jodee Walsh, both of Scottsdale, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two stepsons: David (Patty) Jacobson of Forman; and Danny (Linda) Jacobson of West Fargo, ND.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Maxine, a brother and two sisters.
