Pickup rolls into slough near Tolna; driver killed
NELSON COUNTY, N.D. – A 60-year-old man was killed late Saturday in a rollover crash 1.75 miles west of Tolna, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The man, whose name has not been released, was driving a pickup truck west on County Road 24, a gravel road, when the crash happened about 11 p.m., the patrol said.
The truck failed to negotiate a curve in the road and went into the north ditch. The driver overcorrected, came out of the ditch and lost control of the truck, the patrol said.
The truck then went back into the north ditch and rolled into a slough. The driver was ejected, and he died at the scene, the patrol said.
The man was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said. The crash remains under investigation.
