Prairie Roots Food Cooperative to screen ‘Food Patriots’ documentary

FARGO –Prairie Roots Food Cooperative will screen a documentary at the downtown Fargo Public Library on Thursday night that aims to start a conversation about America's food supply and the people working to educate consumers.

"Food Patriots" was made by Jeff and Jennifer Spitz as a way of documenting their family's attempts to raise backyard chickens, grow their own food and learn more about the issues after the son became ill from eating chicken contaminated with a superbug.

The screening of the film is set for 7 p.m. at the downtown library and is open to the public.
