Red River at Fargo-Moorhead to reach moderate flood stage
FARGO – Following a round of heavy rain, the Red River will reach moderate flood stage in the coming days, according to the National Weather Service.
The river level was at 24.6 feet at 4:15 p.m. Friday and was forecast to crest at 28 feet Monday morning, the weather service said. Moderate flood stage begins at 25 feet, and minor flood stage starts at 18 feet.
City parks and recreation areas along the river begin to flood at 25 feet. North Broadway bridge is closed at 22 feet. Elm Street between 14th and 15th Avenue North is closed at 18 feet.
