Pert’ Near Sandstone performs Thursday at the Rourke Art Museum Courtyard in Moorhead. Special to The Forum

Pert’ Near Sandstone

One of the breakout acts of the burgeoning Minnesota Americana scene, Pert’ Near Sandstone has built a reputation as a must-see live band with a modern take on the old-time porch music and bluegrass that’s influenced generations of musicians. The Twin Cities-based band, which released its fifth full-length album, “The Hardest Part of Leaving,” in April, will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Rourke Art Museum Courtyard, 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. The show is the third installment of the Rockin’ the Rourke Courtyard Concert Series that kicked off earlier this summer with performances by Chastity Brown and Dessa, and will conclude Sept. 24 with a performance by Charlie Parr. Gates open at 6 p.m. Thursday for the show, and tickets for this 21+ show are available for $12. or (866) 300-8300.
