The Plains Art Museum, 704 1st Ave., N., Fargo, has become a playland this summer with the Buzz Lab and the “Living as Form (the Nomadic Version)” exhibit. Tonight the Plains takes the play to a new stage with Sandy Spieler. The Minneapolis artist, co-founder and artistic director of the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre lead a toy theatre workshop this week and the results will be seen in a production at 7 p.m. This puppet show isn’t just child’s play: “Its Presence Reaches Everywhere,” explores people’s relationship with oil and water. Also, from 6 to 7 p.m., Moorhead artist Dwight Mickelson discusses his mobile gallery stage, N.E.S.T. (Nature Experience & Shelter Transformer) parked outside of the museum. The events run from 5 to 8 p.m. (701) 232-3821.
