Weekend Watch: ‘Tarzan: The Musical’

‘Tarzan: The Musical’

Thursday – Sunday

Local kids and teens will take the stage starting Thursday to present “Tarzan: The Musical,” the first show by Re|Act, a five-week program for actors ages 12 to 16 through the Spotlight for Youth theater company. Based on the Disney musical movie and Edgar Rice Burrough’s classic “Tarzan of the Apes,” the production features music by Phil Collins and takes the audience on an adventure that follows Tarzan’s upbringing by two gorillas and first encounters with fellow humans. “Tarzan: The Musical” kicks off with 7 p.m. performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday at The Stage at Island Park, 333 4th St. S. in Fargo. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for students and seniors and $6 for kids 12 and younger, and are available at The Stage’s box office, by calling (701) 235-6778 or on The Stage’s website. Tickets are an additional $2 each if purchased at the door.
