MOORHEAD — Caleb Johnson credits growing up in a different area for the fresh angle he finds in his local photography.

The Illinois native moved here a few years ago to attend North Dakota State University until he graduated last May and started working at the corporate Scheels office.

When he has the time, he heads out with his camera in search of something new, often finding an interesting landscape shot that he shares with followers on his Instagram account (@caleb.johnson7) that he started last year.

"People have seen these things all the time, but everything's kind of newer to me," he said.

The 25-year-old Moorhead resident said he finds some inspiration for his amateur photography, which he's learned on his own, among the accounts and posts he finds through Instagram.

"But other than that, I just do my own thing," he said.
