Weekend Watch: Jass Festival

Jass Festival

Saturday and Sunday

Back for its 20th summer, the Jass Festival returns this weekend for two days of jazz and fun for all ages. Originally started in Minot, N.D., this will be the 10th time the festival, which aims to promote jazz and enlighten the public about the music, will be presented in the Fargo-Moorhead area. The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday with a social and dinner (by RSVP) at the American Legion Outdoor Stage, 505 3rd Ave. N., Fargo, followed by a special 21+ concert by Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome at 8 p.m. Several bands will perform on the outdoor stage between noon and 6 p.m. Sunday, and children’s activities will be available indoors and outdoors throughout the afternoon, including an “instrument petting zoo” by Eckroth Music.
