Day 3 of William Hoehn's trial: Jurors hear suspect's version of day Savanna went missing

Looks like Metallica is coming to Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The heavy metal band, Metallica, may be planning a performance in Grand Forks, if evidence on social media sites is any indication.

The Alerus Center and the band shared the same image on their social media accounts recently.

When he was reached for comment Friday, Feb. 23, Riley Simenson, marketing director at the Alerus Center, said, “I can’t confirm or deny that Metallica is going to come to Grand Forks.”

But he advised fans to be on the lookout “for information coming out, down the line.”

Metallica performed for the opening of the U.S. Bank Stadium in September 2016 in Minneapolis and, closer to this area, at the Fargodome in February 1997.

The band currently has concerts planned in Europe from March through May, with one concert back in the United States in San Francisco. No concert dates are listed after their last listed European concert in Helsinki, Finland, on May 11.
