Public school officials in Grand Forks released high school students Tuesday to take buses to Fargo and volunteer in sandbagging efforts.

Public school officials in Grand Forks released high school students Tuesday to take buses to Fargo and volunteer in sandbagging efforts.

Ten buses and two vans with volunteers will leave from Central, Red River and Community high school at 9 a.m., officials said.

Half of the volunteers will be sent to Fargo and the other half to Moorhead. A total of about 480 students and 30 to 40 staff are expected to participate.
