WEST FARGO - The West Fargo School Board unanimously decided Tuesday night to delay a school building referendum until June 9.
It was originally slated for May 19.
Administrators say they need to expand Horace Elementary, expand Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center into a second middle school, build a second high school, renovate the current high school and add a new elementary school. The estimated price tag is $65 million.
Because of the current flood fight, board members figured the referendum may have a better chance of being approved if it’s delayed.
