Pomeroy promises aid for flooding

BISMARCK – U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., made separate visits to the North Dakota House and Senate on Tuesday, telling them he is convinced the state’s flooding effects will trigger federal aid that will cover 90 percent of the damage and praising state residents for their vigorous efforts to save lives and property.

BISMARCK – U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., made separate visits to the North Dakota House and Senate on Tuesday, telling them he is convinced the state’s flooding effects will trigger federal aid that will cover 90 percent of the damage and praising state residents for their vigorous efforts to save lives and property.

Pomeroy pledged that he and Sens. Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., would work closely with Gov. John Hoeven to obtain the maximum amount of federal assistance possible.
